Book Review: The Rogue You Know by Shana Galen

The Rogue You Know (Covent Garden Cubs, #2)The Rogue You Know by Shana Galen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another wonderful couple

Gideon harrow was a thief. He had been a thief most of his life. But that wasn’t what brought him to Marlowe’s house that night he met her sister in law Susanne Derring.

When she turns the tables in him, it looks like she will have her dream come true. that dream is an escort to the place she just has to see. She did after all, have a mystery to solve.

Together Susanna and Gideon ran the streets of London. All the while being chased by several very rough men that had revenge in mind.

This is such a lively and lovely story.

The characters are so easy to love. I loved this book. I loved Gideon. I loved his name and everything about him. He was such a good person with a hard road forced on him at a young age. He made me laugh so much with his personality.

I thought that Susanne was a wonderful free thinking woman. She had spirit and a wonderful heart. To take on Beauty as her own and take such good care of her, showed her heart. Beauty brought out the best in Gideon too. Such a good sweet read with a wonderful story line. So many questions asked and answered in such an enjoyable manner.

Marlowe made a few appearances that made my heart and head happy!
It is the perfect book to follow Marlowe’s tale. It is a wonderful book. I am so glad that Shana Galen gave us Gideon and Susanna.

This book follows the book “Earls Just Want to Have Fun”. I am including the review for that amazing book as well. These two are a wonderful start to the Covent Garden Cubs Series. Here is last year’s review of Earls Just Want To Have Fun.

Earls Just Want to Have Fun (Covent Garden Cubs, #1)Earls Just Want to Have Fun by Shana Galen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A 5 year old Elizabeth is kidnapped. 15 years later a Bow Street runner believes he has located her. After the runner Brooks and his brother Maxwell, Lord of Dane obtain the street urchin Marlowe ( possibly Lady Elizabeth). They take her to their home and send for her parents to confirm her identity.

Marlowe has had it very rough living as a thief on the streets of London. She has an often hilarious adjustment period at the Earl’s home. She doesn’t fare well in such a rich environment.

Marlowe and Maxwell struggle to survive their differences as they wait for her identity to be confirmed. Maxwell has never been around thieves and con artists and does not appreciate her being foisted upon him like this.

There are many twists and turns in this book which prove that everyone can learn something new from others. I found myself really liking both Lord Dane and Marlowe very much. Maxwell’s family is full of fun and interesting characters.

A wonderful book that touched my heart on many levels. I now want to read the others in this series.
