The Entertainer Blogger Award

I was notified by Trina at itsgoodtobecrazysometimes that she had nominated me for the Entertainer Blogger Award. I really was happy and a bit shocked  (happy shocked) to see this notification.  I of course  hope that my blog is somewhat entertaining.  I say silly things and some serious things and then there is that little habit of mine about writing book reviews and short stories. So that she thought of me enough to nominate me really made me feel good.  You need to check out her blog while you are looking around the blogosphere. She has such great posts on there. Trina links to other blogs giving us a chance to see what all is out there.  I love clicking through her links so much. She also posts uplifting, humorous and sweet posts. Here are the 5 questions and my best attempt to answer them.

Why did you start the blog in the first place?

A few years ago, I became ill. When that illness hit, it took away all the joy and concentration needed to read.  I started reading a book on a flight home after visiting  my sister.  She had given me a set of readers and they allowed me to see the letters again. I had aged in the last 4 years and couldn’t read the print any more.  Suddenly, I was reading and really enjoying it. So I started writing reviews on Goodreads. Then I decided to try my hand at more in depth posts on this blog. And here I am , trying to stay focused and healthy, writing and reading.

What is your favorite book? 

I can read Knight in Shining Armor by Jude Deveraux over and over again. I believe I have read it five time now.  I can also read The Secret Garden non stop. I am on about my tenth reading of that classic.  So I will put them as a tie.

What do you dislike the most?

Dishonesty, plain and simple.  Be honest with me.  I can take it.

What is your favorite food item from the mall?

Panda Express Orange Chicken

What is your favorite past time activity?

Organizing things, like my blogs book review index pages, my Goodreads shelves, my bookcases in my room.  Organizing relaxes me!  You should seriously take a look at my shelves on Goodreads.  They are organized to the hilt.
