The game is advertised as Puns of Fun and it did not overexaggerate that fun.  After receiving the game, one of my grandchildren asked every evening if we could play it. Eagerly waiting for the weekend when no one had a  camp or a job to go to the next day. When we brought the game out tonight. The entire group of us began to brag about our punster abilities. It seems my mother was overly complimentary about my punsterisms.

The game is simple enough, You are given the opportunity to answer a question with your best pun.  After calling out a pun, the winner gets additional time on the clock to think of the next phase of puns.  Oh, by the way,  it seems there is a fine line between a pun and a joke. Obviously, I couldn’t see that line and I kept saying nonpunny jokes. Provided in the game is a very nice Pun instructional card to help those confused with exactly what constitutes a pun. Game tips

Here we have the game equipment. there are several types of card used in the game. The box is packed neatly with all the equipment needed except for pencils. The manufacturers provide blank paper, all playing cards, and complete instructions. the box is sturdy and compact which allows it to sit neatly on a shelf in the game area of a bookcase or shelf.

We played as a family all ages from fifty-seven years old all the way down to a six-year-old. There was booing, hissing, and blatant accusations “that that is not a pun” thrown at each other. Namely at me.Seems I am not as punny as I thought I was. It was a great evening of interesting and lively fun. It provided everyone a chance to be clever, witty and wrong.

Actual cards
Starter Pun questions cards

There is the starter pun that you call out loud and first pun wins. Secondly, you are given the opportunity to write down your best pun using two concept cards. I will share one of those in a moment.

Topic cards
Secondary cards

The secondary cards  make for the most unusual combinations. We have one card that said Grocery shopping and one card that said religion.  My grandson came up with Grosery cart. Notice the rosary mention in that. We thought his was the winner, so he got the additional time. I am so glad I was fortunate enough to request this game.

I received this game from Blogging for Books for this review. It was a wonderful evening for us all. The six-year-old by the way simply regaled us with rhyming words, seems she doesn’t quite have puns down, yet. But with this game, she will! We all agreed that we would be playing this again when we had the game night crew over. Even before then if the kids have their way.
