My Review:

The mystery was exciting and I had no clue who the Survivor was. It was creepily good. The concept of burying people alive is so horrible, it just draws you in.

The writing is great and the characters were three dimensional. I did not really care if the love interests got together or not. I wasn’t exactly feeling their relationship as one of those lovely must have each other stories. So the romantic bits fell flat for me.

Pierce Reed, the policeman that is being contacted by the serial killer is a hard as nails cop that has no value for the press. Even when Nikki Gillette, a local reporter, is dragged into the active case by the murderer. Soon she too is targeted as a potential victim. I will certainly read more by Lisa Jackson. She has very clever ways of telling a suspenseful story.

My Recommendation:

If you love truly suspenseful stories, this is a good one to choose. The killer toys with the police and the press and keeps you involved, guessing and scared. I enjoyed the book very much.
