My Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Mr. Waldorf Travels to the Mysterious China is another of the really well illustrated and extremely well-told stories of an absent-minded labrador, Mr. Waldorf. Not just absent minded but well traveled and knowledgeable about the animals and the special locations in China. If you have read his other adventures you will know that he is well spoken about many different locations. Alaska, Texas, and now China.
This book is a lovely book to own with a glossy finish on the front and nice colorful and beautifully designed artwork inside. The words are simple enough for the child to grasp yet new words are interspersed making it a nice learning tool.
While entertaining your child with the search his misplaced spectacles he opens their minds to new places and differences that make the world a more interesting place. Showing national treasures animals and nature.
I loved Mr. Waldorf as much as the seven-year-old did. She read along with me and giggled at the silly labrador.
I highly recommend this to anyone with second grade children and younger. It is a simple story meant to charm children and adults alike while teachign with words and pictures. After about second grade it might be too simplistic.
