I love Diana Hunter and this book did not disappoint. This was my third book featuring that genius and delightful Diana Hunter. That she was once again in contact with Peter was good news for me. Not so much for Diana. They have their issues. They are, however, willing to work together to solve this intriguing mystery. The mysterious theft was really ingeniously told. I loved the story, the mystery, and the hint of romance.
I was so happy to receive this copy for review. It is such a good series and I can easily give my honest review. This book deserves the 5 hearts I gave it. I can not wait for another book about Diana Hunter to come out. Alison golden has brought this character so much life and such a wonderful back story. She is totally likable and yet she is no pushover.
This mystery and suspenseful book is available in Kindle and paperback. You can purchase by clicking the links below.
This is the latest book in the Inspector Graham Cozy Mystery Series. The book, The Case of the Fallen Hero, released on May 20, 2016. It was wonderful.I enjoyed the mystery, the Inspector, and the musicians. Each aspect of this book was fun, interesting, and entertaining. I do love Inspector David Graham. He is quite entertaining with his understated ways. He puts things right without making a fuss about it. I like that.
I did not figure out the mystery until it was revealed. I like when a mystery can keep me guessing. The witnesses and suspects were just so bizarre and those sisters were just crazy. I liked the castle and the adventure that took place there.
The musicians that were trying to escape danger was such a great adventure. I love when there are secrets and hidden things in the dark.
This is another fun book by Alison Golden. I really like the Inspector. He is clever and I like how he interacts with his police officers.I hope there are more Inspector David Graham books on the horizon. He is awesome.
This cozy mystery by Alison Golden is available in paperback and through KindleUnlimited on Amazon.
The Prequel To The Cozy Mystery Series
This prequel was a great way to get to know the Reverend Annabelle Dixon. She is just a wonderful character. She is a warm and Godly woman that has a very fun way about her. She is very bright and a joy to read about since she is rather quirky. Sister Mary is also a fun character. She is called the accidental nun by her friends. Sister Mary is caught in a terrible situation and so is not quite at her best. She keeps ending up at the wrong end of a police investigation.
I was glad to be able to read this even after I finished reading Murder at the Mansion. IT shed more light into Annabelle’s personality. I have to say it is a joy to see how nosy she is and how that helps her solve mysteries that flummox the local police.
Annabelle Dixon is able to see through all the confusing clues and find the things that are only obvious to her in able to draw the correct conclusion.
This was a wonderful start to the Annabell Dixon Mystery series. She is really adorable. This book was just another great read by Alison Golden.
The Second Book in the Series
This was a great cozy mystery. The Reverend of the local church, Annabelle stumbles across a murder and she is unable to stop herself from trying to solve it. She spends so much time at the crime scene looking for that one elusive bit of evidence that will solve this murder.
A good read, the Reverend Annabelle Dixon is wonderful and a very lovable character. She is so cute with her little car and her nosy personality. I just loved her. I also thought that Detective Inspector Nicholls was a very nice addition. It was also an addition that seems to have caught Annabelle’s attention. All in all this was a fun mystery that I read at one sitting.
After reading this book I actually joined the readers group so that I could get another book about Annabelle. It turns out that the free book was the prequel to the series. To me this was another win for Alison Golden plus a solid 5 stars for Annabelle
Third Book In The Series
This is book three in the series featuring Annabelle Dixon. Annabelle is the local Vicar and she has quite the nose for mystery. When a small boy discovers what appears to be a human bone in a shallow grave Detective Inspector Nicholls is called in to help solve the case.
Annabelle notices that there are some changes in Detective Inspector Nicholls as he seems angry and terse. Annabelle finds herself searching down clues as to the body in the woods and finds that there is a missing person from many years back.
Annabelle is also concerned about Philippa, as she too is acting out of character. she seems to have some moral dilemma going on. These are not too many mysteries for Annabelle to help solve at one time. She diligently seeks out clues and uses her gentle yet inquisitive personality to find answers to the puzzle.
Another hit for Alison Golden. She has created such a lovely world for Annabelle and it is a joy to join her there. After three books the Reverend is well know to me as a reader and I find her fun, compassionate and as diligent as a bull dog. She is amazing.
This series keeps getting better and better. It is a lovely cozy mystery that everyone should read.
Oh a super secret intro to the next Reverend Annabelle Dixon Mystery is included. shh… remember you didn’t hear it from me.
I really enjoyed getting to see Diana Hunter in action. She is so intelligent, a true genius, and she sees things so clearly. I liked how she and Detective Peter Hotkinson verbally sparred. It was entertaining. The crime was interesting and the methods that the police force used to figure it out was brilliant.
I am looking forward to reading more about Peter and Diana. They have a great chemistry and he does have that sexy stubble.
Alison Golden brings the characters to life and you can feel the frustration that Peter has when he keeps catching Diana where she is not supposed to be. Diana’s not oblivious to his charms either and finds herself making it look worse for herself due to that attraction. There is plenty of action and adventure packed into this book. In all it is a fun, exciting mystery.
The prequel about Diana Hunter
It was great learning about Diana Hunter as a young girl and young woman. Leaving her mother and father to go to college at sixteen was hard on her parents, especially on her father who was a detective and knew how much crime there was in the city. Even with Diana’s genius IQ, and defensive training her parents still worried about her.
At nineteen Lydia Hunter is found dead with a suicide note next to her. John and Diana Hunter try to come to grips with the fact that Lydia had killed herself.
There are many twists and turns in this book that make it a fascinating read. Seeing how a genius like Diana handles her mother’s death is very emotional for everyone including her best friend Teddy.
This is a great prequel to her next book, Snatched.
This is my fourth book by Alison Golden and I really enjoyed them all so far. I will be looking for more from her. Here is another review of one of her books Death At The Cafe
This prequel was a great way to get to know the Reverend Annabelle Dixon. She is just a wonderful character. She is a warm and Godly woman that has a very fun way about her.
