While I was engrossed in MTW This happened!

followed-blog-1000-2x

Yes! I have over 1000 followers now. I love each one of you too. I mean you took the time to follow me and in return, I follow your blogs too.  I hope you are still happy with the content of the posts.

I am still loving reviewing books. Maybe I should explain that I am not a reviewer of analytical discussion and grammar policing. I am a reviewer that tells you why I loved, liked, or tolerated a book.

If I do not like the book or found it unappealing while reading, I do not post about it. My personal philosophy is: Why should I waste my energy and time to share a book that I found terrible?  Why even clutter my friend’s brains with the mundane and bad? You can go to other sites for that. Goodreads and Amazon are where you can find bad books.  Not on The Page Turner.

I also hope that you enjoy my little misadventures with my family, writing and learning processes.  There is something freeing about sharing a vacation, a productive day of writing, or just a fun day.

Thank you all for following me.  I enjoy your pages immensely and I hope you find something entertaining about mine.

A-Z PE Challenge Day 17 (Q)

This challenge is to post a different blog daily starting with a letter a day from A to Z.

Today we are celebrating the quirky letter Q!

The Blog dejour is:

Captain’s Quarters

Yes, I know you can see what I did there.  This blog is quirky and I love quirky.  I love that The Captain labels her categories in Sailor terms.  She is  witty with her reviews and makes you want to read more about them. When she gives a review, you can tell that it is not holding back. I like that. It is nice when you see a reviewer growl in a review. I am a growler, so I appreciate that.

I have been reading her review list and once again I am impressed.  There is a Map Legend that shows all her reviews.  When I saw it, I was extremely jealous.  I must read more about this creating new pages.  Perhaps she will throw me a line and share how she made it so neat and tidy.

This Captain has it going on. She writes about Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Young Adult novels.  Each type has a unique seafaring category that just rocks!  I love her blog. It is so cute, clever and different.  You should check her out and see what you are missing.

When asked on one of her many Blog award nominations, In which country is it your dream to live in? She replied,

I don’t have a country that I want to live in permanently.  I currently like discovering new ports and cultures.  Though I have lived in over 10 American States and London.  But settle down?  Maybe when I am old and grey.

Enjoy your special letter day today. Pirate Captain.  Today is all about you!

He came up with the A-Z People Edition challenge and it is an awesome idea. If you want to join in the fun, then just join in.There is no set date or month. Just 26 days of your choosing. Here is the link to the instructional blog you can visit

Here is a Quote from his blog explaining his motivation for this fun challenge.

” This is the people edition! So on the first day you find someone who’s screen name starts with A and you check out their blog. The idea is that you read through some of their posts, introduce yourself and give them some feedback. Then, write your post of the day and publish it, describing who the person is and your experience finding and interacting with them, what you thought of their posts. What you came away with. I think it could be fun:)”

A-Z PE Challenge Day 15 (O)

This challenge is to post a different blog daily starting with a letter a day from A to Z.

Today we are celebrating the outstanding letter O!

The Blog dejour is:

THE ORANG-UTAN LIBRARIAN

No one should be surprised that I chose this blog as my letter O blog choice.  I mean there is something riveting about an orang-utan on a keyboard.  In fact I have been following this blog since I first started writing regularly on WordPress.

Orangu-tan Librarian has provided some enjoyable moments with the Shakespeare Quote Challenge. It was a real pleasure to see all those quotes each day.  I was honored to be tagged to participate.  Not only enjoyable tags and challenges but excellent book reviews, and humor are featured in the library.

With a positive review on North and South and a tip of the hat to Richard Armitage, how could I not love that review in particular.  I love how the reviews are indexed. Something I have not quite learned how to do. I am on this learning curve that doesn’t quite reach indexing. But I am proud to say my friend the Orangutan has done it by Author. I love that.

This is how the Orangutan Librarian announces 500 followers, (Congratulations on 500!)

I am literally speechless! Thank you so much for being such awesome bananaholic, monkey brains and following this blog as I ramble on about books! I can’t tell you how ecstatic, excited and extraordinarily wonderstruck it makes me to have you all on board!

Enjoy your special letter day today. Orang-Utan.  Today is all about you!
