I have never read an Amish romance before and now I am just enchanted by the lovely personalities, hearts, and traditions of the Amish. I felt for Rose Kurtz as she was treated coldly by her mother and then sent away to help out a family in need. Once she arrived at the Dienner house, she faced an uncertain future. The mother of the children had passed away giving birth and she was asked to step into FLorence’s place to tend to the children.
The story continued as the family went along in their life and picked up a few years later. Rose was still trying to find her place in the heart of the family and was giving her all to being a good mother to the children.
For Grace, Rose was the only mother she had ever known. When strangers appear in the small community and family members begin to interfere in Rose and Joel’s life, it reopens a wound that Rose had thought she was passed.
This book had such a lovely spirit. It drew you in with the gentleness and kindness of the characters. I am so glad I read this book. While there were concerns and stresses for the family the book brought the spirit of Christmas to me a little early in the season. I was glad to have been provided this book for review by the publishers through Blogging for Books. This book has brought me joy and a sweet feeling for the holidays. Joel and Rose were well-written characters that showed their heart to the reader. Even if they struggled to show their heart to each other.
Although this might be the first book by Cindy Woodsmall. As I went to her website I realized she is no stranger to Amish romances. She is a best-selling author with a slew of books under her belt. The website like the books have recipes and other information available. I liked the feel of this book so much, I am going to seek out more of her books to read.
This Christmas romance is available in hardback, paperback, Kindle, Nook, and audiobook, by clicking the links below.
There are a few pictures of some of the main characters in this upcoming contemporary novel. With exciting events planned as we travel on this journey to release. This is my first attempt at humor and romance so I am very happy.
I hope you will join me as we prepare for the official cover reveal and character blurbs. Of course, I will be posting similar events on this blog, but you know, it is Facebook and that will make it more fun, more interactive and just a lot more of a group event. We hope you will like the new page and follow along on this journey.
Today the manuscript went to the editor for a final edit. I am nervous and stoked at the same time. He is going to find my little grammar errors and my little typos that have skated past the proofreading, the beta readers, and my read through. Those are so embarrassing, but he is very thorough so I know he will find some.
Today is just an emotionally high day! Thank you for sharing it with me.

Let me start by saying that when I first heard of the event I was immediately interested. What a wonderful way to meet other indie authors and learn from them. As an author of an indie publication, the marketing for the book falls on my doorstep. I can use all the help I can get.
The day started at Midnight EST and I stayed up until 5:30 so that I could support the other authors and make sure they were not alone. That was the number one fear. That no one would show up for the hour. It was great to actually see how many readers and writers showed up for each hour.
The questions were interesting and extremely thought provoking. So many people asked for advice on publishing and writing. As an indie author, that is a huge question. Everyone has their own writing schedule and timetable, so it was so enlightening to see how others plan out their writing day.
