AudioBook Review: Finding Cinderella by Colleen Hoover

Finding Cinderella (Hopeless, #2.5)Finding Cinderella by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Finding Cinderella is one of the best books I have ever read. The story is so unusual and so beautiful. This is a novella from the Hopeless series, but it can certainly be read as a stand alone book. I have not read the other books in the series and I followed along just fine.

At the first of the book you meet two people that do not know one another in a dark closet. They first meet when Daniel slips into the maintenance closet to hide during fifth period and he stumbles over a crying girl. After an hour of talking they meet again a week later. That is when they share a sweet tender hour making love in that closet. One time only after pretending that they are in love. The girl has never had anyone make love to her, the boys from school have only had sex with her. It is so sweetly and so beautifully written.

The words took my breath away. His words to her were so touching. Her words to him were equally as emotional. They seem to know exactly what they could love about one another.

They do not know one another, did not see the other, and have no contact after that one hour in the closet.

A year later a new girl comes into Sky’s life and when Daniel meets her he finds himself drawn to her in an inexplicable way. Since his friend, Sky’s brother, has told him he couldn’t’ hit on Six they decide to pretend to hate each other. That provides some really adorable conversations.

I just loved the words that were in this book. The emotion was so electrifying. I was almost in tears in several places in this book.It touched my heart so.

I would highly recommend this book. It is a beautiful romance. There was humor when you least expected it and it was just wonderfully written. I can’t say that enough it seems.

I listened to it on Audiobooks through Audible and the narration by Jason Carpenter is divine. His voice is age appropriate and his inflection brings these beautiful words to life. The entire package was worth about 10 stars. Unfortunately I can only give 5 stars.

The book is told from the male perspective and having Jason reading was perfection.

The book Finding Cinderella is available in Paperback, on Kindle and in Audiobook at Amazon

  2. I love Colleen’s book. She’s my favorite author when it comes to writing romance. I’ve read her work, ‘Ugly love’ and ‘Maybe someday series’ Both of them are beautifully written! Her words description when it comes to romance is so vividly exquisite, it’d leave anyone breathless. I’m a sucker for romance reads and from long was deciding on which to read next…Your review sorted out that for me, gonna buy all of her books eventually but it will be finding Cinderella for now. Thanks again for the review. Keep writing.📝💭😊
